Mental Health & Wellbeing

In line with the World Health Organisation’s definition, we understand mental health as 'a state of wellbeing in which individuals recognise their potential, manage life’s challenges, work productively, and contribute meaningfully to their communities'.

We aim to create a school where:

  • Every student feels valued, safe, and understood.
  • Staff and pupils alike are empowered to recognise and respond to their own emotions and those of others.
  • Mental health is actively promoted, not just supported in times of difficulty.
  • Challenges such as stress, anxiety, and emotional struggles are met with compassion, expertise, and care.

Our mental health provision includes a whole-school approach to wellbeing, with dedicated student  support, access to trained mental health professionals, early intervention strategies, and a curriculum that promotes emotional literacy and resilience.

If you have concerns around your child's mental health or well-being, please contact their tutor directly.
